Dear bus company,

Four buses in a row complately failing to turn up = taking the piss in a major way.

Four buses in a row completely failing to turn up on a rainy, dark, cold evening = Wolfie going postal.

A commute of under 6 miles between work and home should not take me two hours to complete. Even on public transport. I could have walked it in less time.

Nicer entry to follow when I'm on the outside of about three more mugs of tea. :P

More Six Nations matches today. :D

England v. Scotland - no dog in that fight ohwellEnglandIsuppose.

But Wales v. Ireland at 5.30? Now, that is going to be difficult, considering that whoever I cheer for, I'll end up pissing off one side of my family...

EDIT - Well, I was obviously going to be cheerful no matter who won, but...Grand Slam and Triple Crown for Ireland! :is a very happy Wolfie: :D

Long, long, long shot, but...

Stolen from West End area of Leicester on the night of Friday 13th March.

Reward for information leading to finding. No questions asked if returned.

(Boyfriend's bike. Nicked last night from outside my flat. Have been combing local streets and contacting scrap metal merchants/mechanics. Police and his insurance company have both been informed.)

I am slightly behind on the news, but I only just came across this story this morning, blinked, and then read it again.

And laughed. At length.
Hands off our Spitfires! (Yes, Griffin & co., this means YOU.) )

Just been out for my afternoon-tea-break-cigarette in the works car park at the back, and on stepping out there was promptly ambushed by a fluffy little ball of inky-black affection.

UPDATE

I promise you all I was not just going to nick off with him! Plan was to take him to the vet's and then release him if they said he was fit enough.

Car-park was a markedly cat-free zone when I went out with the special Publisher's Book Delivery Box (complete with hastily-stabbed airholes and my own T-shirt in the bottom of it) at clocking-off today. So I popped into the vet's and explained the situation, and she was very helpful, plus reassuring - she said the skin complaint sounds like an allergy to fleas (which, whilst that might not exactly be lots of fun, at least is fairly pedestrian, and isn't severely painful or in danger of dropping him dead at any minute), and that they have procedures when it's possibly strays (which is basically leafleting here, there and everywhere and letting various people know they've found one).

So, the consensus is that if I do find him and manage to catch him, it's into the vet's for an hour to check for a microchip. If no joy there, then I get him treated for whatever's up with him, release him round the back of the office again, and stick posters all around the village with my mobile # on, asking the owners to get in touch with me, as I'm worried he's a stray. (Perhaps also feeding him a bit round the back of the office if he gets noticeably thinner - vet said if he gets especially thin, to catch him and bring him back to them.)

WTF do I do with a random cat?! )

Real Life attacked nastily a while ago, and has been chewing on my ankle ever since. I will be leaving feedback soon on all the lovely Holmesslash Christmas gifts, people's art and fic, latest offerings in c&c, etc., not to mention comments on friends' LJs... Honest. (Hell, might even post something positive in my own for a change. ;-) )

I have a whole Magisterium's worth of Catholic guilt perched on my shoulders for this. Why do crises* always decide to descend at Christmas?

* Should point out that a) this isn't fishing for hugs or owt, and b) nobody's died or anything terrible like that. Situation is just bloody irritating at the moment.

Argh! <cracks open wine>

At least the damned boiler's working at the moment.
