Damned feverish cold and sore throat is really beginning to irritate me now. Fiance off camping. On the plus side, however, it means I can do an all-nighter on the PC if I like without fretting I'm keeping him awake. Much though he might protest to the contrary, nobody can sleep through my typing. And clicking. And the random Sharpe soundbites from the computer. And my cursing aloud and wondering why humanity ever felt the need to progress from the abacus. ;-P
But am rather happy with the latest piece of Holmesart (well, photo-manip) , and also extremely excited as my COMPLETE GRANADA HOLMES DVD SET HAS NOW BEEN DESPATCHED FROM AMAZON! Not the brand spanking new super-sharp ones, but the 2005 cleaner-picture-than-the-previous-one, which is what I can afford, and suits me fine. Also means more slashvids. [now grinning evilly]
I cannot wait. All the old ones I remember, and the episodes I've never seen...and my mum told me the other day she'd found photographs of when my sister, brother and I went round the Holmes series sets as kids, on the Granada Studios tour. :-D So I can do the knowing smile and I-have-personally walked-those-cobblestones look, too. I will post them when she sends them to me. :-)
It's bloody freezing, but I've dug out the old heater for the cat, and it's quite companiable sitting here while he's curled up in front of it (blocking the heat like heck, might I add...)
So...cautiously chipper tonight. I think I shall go and make some slashy icons for everybody, now I can work Photoshop without crashing the entire East Midlands' mainframe. ;-)
